40th birthday card

We recently celebrated a friend's 40th birthday. Here is my attempt at a masculine birthday card. It was pretty quick and easy to throw together. It's all American Crafts patterned paper.

My parents are in town for 12 days and we've been keeping busy with projects. They are only able to come out twice a year, so when they come my to-do list is pretty long! It's amazing how much you can get done when fun grandma and grandpa are around to help with the kids. Today we are taking a break from projects and heading to the pumpkin farm!

Thanks for all your congrats on my fun previous two weeks! Hope you have a great start to your week today!

I guess we're the families to win things lately. Congrats on all of your accomplishments! We've been chosen to be in a "Family makeover." Basically, we get a membership to the Y (only 8 weeks, but still excited), free cooking classes at Hy-Vee, a store tour (sure the kids will like that!), and "other prizes" whatever that means. We're looking forward to it. We could have been on a local TV show this afternoon, but Nic and Zac have been sick and I had a piano lesson so we skipped it...but Saturday we'll be recognized at their Kickoff! Fun stuff! Hope you're having a great time with your mom and dad.
